ROCK-IN-ACTION

Rock in Action seeks to increase youth physical activity as well as to encourage them to create a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Rock in Action involves programing such as, evening ball hockey games, weekly fitness workouts, life skills workshops and dodge ball nights to promote physical wellbeing as well as to provide stress relieving coping methods for youth.

In 2016, Rock in Action has been strongly supported by several volunteers that are hard working, passionate and dedicated to the youth we serve. This program would not be able to operate without their ongoing support.

“I was 15 and was on my own. I was working and going to school and could not afford to play hockey. I had heard about Rock hockey through a friend. I cycled from Clappison Corner in Flamborough to come to the Rock. I value the Food Bank and the Evening Program, as well as being able to have dinner before hockey”.

“I love swimming! One of the best parts of my March Break was going
swimming with staff and other youth from the Rock”
