My name is Ruth Ann, I'm sixteen years old, and I love Jesus. My passion for art and writing comes from him, and I hope that he will use me as a vessel to speak to those who will hear him. I also love spending time with friends and family, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.

I am Xinyaqi Zhang (Jessica Zhang). I am 21 years old. My favorite thing to do is to make art! I want to make artworks that tells stories and evoke thoughts. Chinese culture is one of the world’s oldest cultures, tracing back to thousands of years ago. Visual arts being one of the important components of Chinese culture. Therefore, I really hope I can share the fascinating Chinese culture with everyone. 

At the age of 20 I migrated to Canada to pursue art study at higher level. My dream job is to become an art teacher. That way, I can pass on my art knowledge and guide students on the road of art making.

She seeks to use her artistic practice to explore themes of justice, hospitality, contemplative prayer and how these concepts all relate to the Kingdom of God. She has shown her art at local churches and prayer rooms, and has designed the album art for a local band. 

Meghan Noonan (b.1996) is a self-taught artist living in Toronto, Canada. Meghan describes herself as an intuitive artist, whose main style of painting is abstract expressionist. Meghan’s interest in painting sparked during her second year of university when she felt her worldview changing. Her goal as an artist is to create pieces that promote the importance of engaging in self-compassion, creativity, and acceptance.   

As a lover of the arts, I believe art is a great way for me to express myself and is something I really enjoy. I want my art to transport the audience and make them feel as if they are within the art, not just looking at it from a distance.

I care about understanding the world and how people find their own meanings within it. I see philosophy, art, music, books and volunteering as ways to deepen this personal understanding.

I am a Bengali woman who loves to create! Currently, I am mainly a digital artist but I enjoy all forms of art! I am very passionate about the acceptance of others and showing people kindness no matter their circumstances.

Naomi is a thirteen year old girl who enjoys reading, acting, writing, sailing, and drawing among other things. She loves to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, playing soccer, swimming and camping, as well as engaging in creative activities with her friends and family.

I am a 25- year- old mixed media artist from Hamilton, Ontario. I enjoy watching movies and TV while making art. I can usually be found hanging out with my friends or making art. 

Not a "professional" artist. Most of my art related experience originated from my doodling during math and science classes back in the days (so no wonder why they remain challenging to me). Pencil is the only tool I am familiar with, but I guess oftentimes it's all I need to illustrate what I see. 

I am a realistic artist. Art is my hobby and I started art when I was child. I painted nature, humans and human emtions. I beleive art itself is a language that we convey our message.

Hallie is a thirteen year old girl who enjoys reading, writing stories, acting, art, sailing, playing outside,  camping, playing soccer, biking, swimming and very much more. She loves being creative with her friends and with her family. She especially loves being outside as much as possible and spending her time role-playing with her friends or reading her favourite books over and over. 

I'm 15 and I like watching anime. My favorite food is pizza (with extra cheese). I love cats (especially black cats they are so cute) and drawing makes me feel confident,

I started art in my foster home when I was 7 with my awesome foster mother Pam who is an amazing artist and enjoys doing abstract art.  I stayed with her for 1 year and a half. She was recently diagnosed with uncureable cancer and unfortunately I had to move away from her and go to another foster home. Lukily, I got to move in with my awesome relief parent Julie and she has became my wonderful mother for life. My mother julie has always supported my art and said it was good, so this is why I decided to join Arts of August this year to show my art and see if its meant to be my talent.
