Meet the Streets OPPORTUNITIES

Meet the Streets (MTS) was established in 2006 by Living Rock Ministries and is an Urban Ministry and Community Training Program. Through the years, MTS has been active, participants have been able to better understand the challenges faced by youth-at-risk, and get the chance to see what Living Rock does in the community. Groups choose their modules for learning, experience and service.


MTS is designed to:

 

  • Give insight to the challenges youth-at-risk face in Hamilton
  • Provide positive opportunities for youth-at-risk to interact with different community groups
  • Provide a forum for street-involved youth to tell their story
  • A powerful DVD, featuring some of Hamilton’s youth-at-risk sharing their stories and providing
  • information on the challenges faced by street-involved youth
  • Provide opportunities to share in service and fundraising activities
  • Teach participants about the programs available at Living Rock
