SOUPFEST/
Soupfest is a community celebration where over 25 quality area restaurants compete for Best Soup, Most Creative Soup, Best Display and the Best Grow Local category. Local celebrities and politicians come out to serve soup and help with the event. There is a Toonie Auction, live entertainment, and a First Ontario Art Park.
The Soup was made to stir-up big support for Living Rock’s Soupfest 10. FirstOntario Credit Union has agreed to come on board once again as Title Sponsor for the event. This year, Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) is sponsoring a ‘free ride’ to this community event. Individuals that purchase advanced Soupfest tickets can show their ticket to any HSR bus operator and receive a complimentary bus ride to and from Soupfest 10.
“This is great news! There will be no more parking hassles if you travel by bus. This will help seniors, those with disabilities, and young families get to Soupfest 10 easily. The announcement that HSR will provide transportation to and from the event is a worry-free encouragement for people to attend,” said Alan Craig, Executive Director of the Living Rock.
Advanced tickets can be at FirstOntario Credit Unions in Hamilton or at the Living Rock (30 Wilson@ Hughson).

Also new this year, is the Soupfest Collection Recipe Book. The Soupfest Collection is a compilation of 19 Soupfest Restaurant’s Recipes, and includes nearly $300.00 of valuable coupons for visitors to their establishment. This book will make a great Christmas gift for the Soup Chef in your life. The book will retail for $35.00 and will be sold on December 1st, 2011 at these locations, or at Living Rock Ministries.
“I am looking forward to this 10th anniversary of Soupfest. The community has embraced this celebration and provided valuable support for youth-at-risk,” said, Alan Craig.
