"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
Living Rock is committed to ongoing learning, and Anti-Racism work is primarily done through education. Living Rock offered youth opportunities to participate in regular Anti-Racism workshops, outings, events, and projects.
In 2007 Living Rock's Anti-Racism program launched a campaign to address racism. "Turn Off The Lights On Racism" was the result of a youth visioning team who wanted to come up with a piece of media to address racism in a unique and inclusive way. The poem spoken in the video was written by a youth who desires to see a change in his community and world. The campaign includes the video, a website and community training workshops.
